Antigua Guatemala
Antigua Central Park and Volcan de Agua
Antigua Guatemala is the best example of "The Land of Eternal Spring".  This City is the historic and turistic center of Guatemala.  A trip to the country without a stop in Antigua would be considered a wasted trip by many in the know.  With comfortable year round temperatures almost always in the 70's, you won't be hot or cold.

Antigua is a short one hour trip from the Airport in Guatemala City over excellent roads and another hour will take you from Antigua to the Marina Pez Vela where the Parlama Boats are kept.  Antigua's tourist atmosphere, fantastic Restaurants, and inviting Nightlife make the option of staying here at least one night or possibly for your entire trip an attractive possibility.

When in Antigua be sure to stop in Capt. Dennis' wonderful bakery.  Fresh Home Made Breads, both Typical Guatemalan and more of the Varietys commonly found in the States.  This is also a full service restaurant serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.  Only 3 blocks from Central Park, Calle Espiritu Santo NO.47
Experience Great Eating at Antigua's Great Restaurants
No mater what your preference you will find great eating here in Antigua.  In keeping with the local Indian Atmosphere you will find "Typical Guatemalan" fare, but there is much more available.  Fantastic Steak houses are my favorites, but you can find international cuisine from the world over.  There are prices for every pocketbook.  I'm including a list of links here so you can plan your trip in advance.
