In order to be able to put our utmost attention to the boats and fishing we have arranged with Hotels Soleil Guatemala of Antigua Guatemala and the Pacific Coast to be our accommodations of choice. We feel that Guatemala can best be enjoyed by utilizing the best aspects of the Colonial City of Antigua and the Tropical Pacific Coast. to view these hotels follow this link,

The fishing would be full days on the “Ballena”, as mentioned, a 36’ Pacemaker with all necessary bait, tackle, (including fly tackle) Lunch, snacks soft drinks and a couple beers on board. The primary target is Sailfish and Capt. Gerry can find them as good or better than anyone in the country. He does however make every trip according to the desires of his clients and many just aren’t the hard charging tournament types so numbers aren’t always as high as on some of the boats. I do know you will enjoy the efforts and attention of the Captain and his mates.
A typical package would be as follows:
Day 1. You are met at Guatemala International Airport, Transfer to Soleil Antigua, see the town and dinner on your own at the hotel, or in one of the many excellent Guatemalan or International Style Restaurants.
Day 2. Up early, 5 am. transfer to Soleil Pacifico, (almost exactly 1 hour ride), breakfast and transfer to Marina Pez Vela dock. Full Day Fishing on the Ballena. Return to dock 4 pm. and shuttle back to Soleil Pacifico for Drinks and relaxation in their pool or beach and a buffet style dinner.
Day 3. Breakfast at Soleil, full day’s fishing, and evening at Soleil
Day 4. Breakfast and Fishing as above then transfer to Soleil Antigua for another evening on the town, as stated day 1 dinner will be your choice and separate.
Day 5. Breakfast at Soleil Antigua and transfer to Guatemala International Airport 4 hours before scheduled flight.
This itinerary for a party of 4 anglers would be $1,700 per person. We are working on complete breakdown for smaller groups but I should be able to quote: triple $2,000 pp and double $2,800 pp.
We also do have other accommodations available including the Hotel Martita in Puerto San Jose only minutes from the Marina. It is a very nice facility however it does not have the beach front, but a beautiful pool, good food and drinks and plenty of shaded and air conditioned areas to relax.
